Andrew Bae Gallery is pleased to present Tetsuya Noda's retrospective solo exhibition “Diary of 50 Years”, from September 9 through October 15, 2016.

Throughout the 50 years of his art career and 500 works he produced under a single title 'Diary', Tetsuya Noda never lost his affinity for novel inspiration. Many have joined in appreciating his uncommon artistry - a unique combination of traditional Japanese woodcarving and mimeograph driven silkscreening. True creativity is exemplified within his extraordinary survey into the private quotidian life of his mesmerizing subjects. We will be celebrating Noda's 25th year with Andrew Bae Gallery, which first introduced his works to America in 1990. This very special retrospective exhibition will also include previously unrevealed, rare prints from his personal collection.

Tetsuya Noda (b.1940, Japan) represented Japan at the Venice and Sao Paolo Biennales, has won printmaking awards worldwide, and has exhibited widely. His work is in the permanent collection of The National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo; The Museum of Modern Art, New York; The Art Institute of Chicago; The British Museum, London, and many others.
