As
Chicago's links with the countries of East Asia (China, Korea, Japan)
grow increasingly complex, ideas from and about "Asia"
remain influential in the Midwest. People arrive daily from these
countries to study and make art in the greater Chicago area. Echoing
early 2002's "Six Korean Women Artists" exhibition of
our mid-career gallery artists (four of whom are Korean American),
this summer group show will feature work from new women artists
of Asian descent with their own connections to the Chicago area.
